Green continued to dominate and with 2 further goals from Brown, went in 3 nil up at the break. Green continued to dominate after the break, and a fourth from Brown along with a goal from Max Fletcher saw green finish the game as 5 0 winners. Game 2 Hall Green UTD Wasps 0 3 Wakefield FC The second game was a closer affair with both teams battling well, and with defences on top the scores were locked at nil nil at the break. The second half started much the same but Wakefield soon settled in and took the lead. 2 further goals from Wakefield saw the game finish 3 0 in favour of the away side. Man of the match award went to Jessica Lee Hall Green UTD Under 9’s V Waterloo Wanderers Game 1 Hall Green UTD 1 7 Waterloo Wanderers In the absence of a league fixture, Hall Green Under 9’s travelled to Waterloo Wanderers for a friendly match. Green struggled to come to terms with the small pitch and poor playing surface and despite some good efforts on goal found themselves 3 nil down at the break. A Waterloo goal in the first minute of the second half scuppered any chance of a Hall Green fight back. Green continued to apply pressure however and were rewarded with a goal from Liam Kane. Green continued to push but some fine saves from the Waterloo Keeper prevented Green from adding to their score. Waterloo grabbed 3 more second half goals to make the final score 7 1. Game 2 Hall Green UTD 6 3 Waterloo Hall Green started the second game strongly having got used to the conditions and dominated from the start. Green took control of the game with 4 first half goals from Reece Cowan. The half time score was 4 1 after Waterloo pulled one back. The second half was more evenly matched with Waterloo pulling another goal back, only for liam Kane to restore the lead. William Jones scored a 6th for Green but Waterloo finished the scoring with late consolation goal. Man of the Match went to Reece Cowan and hardest working award went to Sam Malpas Hall Green UTD under 12’s V Linthwaite Cup Game Linthwaite 2 8 Hall Green Hall Green Under 12’s travelled to Linthwaite in the first round of the league cup. The first half was a close fought affair but was edged by Green who went in at the break 3 1 ahead. Green came out strong for the second half and were soon dominating the game with a further 5 goals, with only 1 in reply from the home side. Final score 8 2 to Green, scorers were Cameron Doak, Jordan Peters, Dan Shuman, Henry Firth and 4 from James Sargent.
